Fundación Contemporánea: four ways of giving shape to culture.

Redesigning the contemporary cultural landscape and creating the right framework for communicating culture: from digital promotion to spaces for expression.

Making culture public: a brand for the cultural sector's flagship gathering.

Encuentros Profesionales de la Cultura brings together cultural managers and industry professionals in Madrid every year, offering a critical space to debate, learn, inspire and collaborate. For this new chapter, we developed its rebrand and a graphic approach designed to span four editions, two of which we have already brought to life.

The entire system is set out in a brand guidelines manual and applied across every touchpoint of the event: outdoor and indoor banners, printed programmes, video bumpers for the sessions, table signage, tickets and online promotional materials. It is an identity with a solid structure and room to evolve, so that each edition has a voice of its own while remaining unmistakably Pública.

We see design as a whole: one identity that travels from paper to screen, and from physical space to the virtual one.

A cultural gathering happens in many places at once: in the programme handed out at the entrance, in the banners that show the way, in the projections that introduce each participant and in the posts that announce it beforehand and extend it afterwards. That is why we approach every project with a holistic vision, in which printed graphics, the stage screen and the digital space all speak the same language. This way, the identity never fragments when it changes medium: it accompanies the audience from the physical space to the virtual one without ever losing its voice.

We have updated the look and feel with an overarching style guide that ensures consistency across all editions. Building on this, we have adapted the visual identity to each city so that each stop engages with its own context. As with Pública, the system is applied across all the event’s media, and we have complemented it with a number of special pieces created for the occasion.

We refreshed its look and feel with general guidelines that keep every edition consistent. Building on them, we adapted the graphics to each city so that every stop speaks to its own context. As with Pública, the system is applied to all the event's touchpoints, along with a number of special pieces created for the occasion.

When scrolling, there are no second chances: a consistent visual style ensures that Periscope is instantly recognisable.

On social media, a brand’s reputation is at stake in the space of a single second. That’s why we designed a system of templates for Periscopio that adapts the visual style to each city and each format (feed, stories, reels) whilst maintaining consistency. Colours, typography and rhythm ensure that each post builds on the previous one and that the brand is instantly recognisable, wherever it appears.

We’ve brought Periscopio’s identity from paper to screen: a series of projections that introduce each participant and set the pace of the event.

In addition to the printed materials provided at each evening’s event, we designed a visual style guide for the event’s projections. The visuals introducing each participant and introducing each talk use the same graphic language as the rest of the materials. In this way, the brand identity isn’t confined to the entrance or the programme: it takes to the stage and guides the audience from one conversation to the next, city after city.
